Job Description
e-staff is recruiting for a full-time, temp-to-hire Financial Assistant for a family-owned company in east Birmingham.

General Functions:

Administrative Assistant to the Chief Financial Office
Manages and maintains multiple bank accounts
Coordinate AP Checks to be written
Responsible for all Journal Entries
Review Job Cost vs. Budget
Process all payments
Process weekly payroll, and all filings and reports associated with payroll
Ensure Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements are current and correct
Daily use with QuickBooks Contractor Premier
Bank transfers
Essential Functions:

Apply for Builder rebates from vendor/supplier
Process Subcontractors and Suppliers checks
Weekly payroll
Process and submit Quarter Payroll taxes
Process and submit End of Year Payroll W-2's
State and Federal Payroll filings
Balance monthly checking accounts
Assist C.F.O with financial reports
Monthly 941 Payroll taxes
Annual filing of 1099's
Partner with CPA firm (filings, audits, reports, questions, etc.)
Job Requirements
Job Requirements
Associates Degree in Accounting (preferred)
Minimum of 4 years accounting experience (day-to-day operations)
Minimum of 2 years payroll experience including 1099's
Experience required: Journal Entries, Balance Sheets and Cost Accounting
Software required: QuickBooks and Excel
