General Summary: The central role of the Care Team Assistant I is to relieve the Registered Nurse of clerical or secretarial duties; thus allowing the Registered Nurse to focus more directly on clinical care. A Care Team Assistant I role is limited to documentation and efficiency management for the Registered Nurse. The Care Team Assistant I is an unlicensed person and exclusively non-clinical. The Care Team Assistant I works under the supervision of a licensed nurse, performing documentation on behalf of the nurse into the Electronic Medical Record or written chart. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Care Team Assistant I enters information into the patient’s electronic or written chart. All documentation is reviewed and/or edited by the Registered Nurse. Documentation is signed with an attestation by the Registered Nurse, attesting that the Care Team Assistant I’s charting is thorough and accurately reflects all duties performed. Care Team Assistant I adheres to all necessary agency rules and facility’s compliance plan. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time or part-time position and hours of work and days vary Monday through Sunday depending on the facility contract and hours needed.
